Some residents are planning to hold a BBQ on the afternoon of Saturday 19th May at the Adler Way end of the Lake. In part, to celebrate they upcoming Royal Wedding, but primarily it’s an opportunity for everyone at City Quay to have a drink, a nibble and get to know each other better.
A BBQ will be supplied, but attendees will need to bring their own food and drink. Don’t worry if you have forgotten to go shopping on the day, I’m sure there will be enough to go around.
The event will kick-off around 3pm and run into the early evening. Invite your friends and family along too – the more the merrier.

I am not one for blowing my own trumpet but I thought I would share some of the positive feedback received over the last few months with regard to the website, the maintenance team and the board.
“I just wanted to thank the new board and maintenance team. The achievements and the work that has been completed over the last few months is outstanding, constantly on site working away, making improvements … Thank you for all that you are doing to make CQ a better place, greatly appreciated!”
(the website) “This is a great way to log and track tickets, and find out general news and policy info. Thanks for creating and maintaining it”
From Viv Williams:
“Hi, Sorry didn’t know how else to contact but just to say please would you thank whoever did the great job on my Apartment block main door. Its like living in a different place now, so lovely n quiet without that awful slamming, especially for us being on different shifts. Heaven !! Thanks again.”
(the lake) “What a fabulous sight, our very own Three Graces !! Well done to the whole maintenance Team.”
From David Higham:
(the lake) “3 Fountains! Well done, team”
“I saw a reference on another forum entry that the bin area behind Adler Way was being refurbished, so I went to have a look. It is really a great improvement – a big improvement for the site.”
It’s all very much appreciated, and don’t be afraid to give us more feedback, good or bad, via the forum or the contact link in the menu above.
Count along with me: One fish, two fish, … 600 fish
Today was the day I know a lot of you were anticipating greatly. We did a major restocking of the lake, by adding 600 Koi. Each one is around 3 to 4 inches. With plenty of nutrients to live off, it won’t be long before they are much bigger.
Few more fish to come too as we have received some donations, including two 15 inch Koi.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the sprightly little beggars.
